After adding a device (or sometimes a service), you may get a system event indicating insufficient resources.

Edit:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CURRENT_CONTROL_SET\SERVICES\LanmanServer\Parameters

Change or add value: IRPstackSize REG_DWORD

The maximum value is C (12). You might want to try 7 but at least 2 more than the current value. If you are going to install Norton NT Utilities, this value should not exceed "A" (10) prior to installing.
