| Do you get a blank window when opening the Internet Explorer in Windows
98 Second Edition?
To Repair Internet Explorer: Select START\RUN, type MSINFO32 in the
'Open'
box and press enter. From the 'TOOLS' menu select 'Internet Explorer
Repair Tool'.
Then from the next menu select the repair option.
- Go ahead and close your Internet Explorer browser, and re-boot the
system after this fix. Then try Internet Explorer again after
booting up again.
If that does not work then go to this next step.
Select START\RUN box
and
Enter " regsvr32 Urlmon.dll " then press 'ENTER'. You will be prompted if the command was successful.
- Go ahead and close your Internet Explorer browser, and re-boot the
system after this fix. Then try Internet Explorer again after
booting up again.
If the repair and registering the dll above doesn't resolve the problem, run
this Microsoft
MCREPAIR patch.
This patch will install older versions of files that are compatible with
Windows 98. Answer YES when prompted to replace the files.
